Amphire Appoints Chief Operating Officer
REDWOOD CITY, CA., - December 18, 2007
Amphire® Solutions, the leading global Software as a Service (SaaS) provider of technology solutions for the foodservice industry and institutional supply chains, today announces the appointment of Liam Taylor to chief operating officer. Taylor joins Amphire from the company's August acquisition of Makella, a European provider of SaaS solutions based in the United Kingdom. The deal brought several new technologies to Amphire's portfolio and the addition of Makella's on-going business, current customers and employees.

In his new role, Taylor will oversee business operations and lead the integration of Amphire's business stemming from recent mergers and acquisitions.developing senior staff and establishing the organizational structure for the company's two principal geographic platforms in North America and Europe.
During his tenure at Makella, Taylor has been at the forefront of e-procurement in the foodservice and hospitality sectors. Before Makella, Liam spent four years as the commercial director of mymarket.com, prior to which he held various operational and marketing positions among the UK's leading foodservice and distribution operators. Under Liam's stewardship, mymarket.com became the benchmark for e-procurement in the industry and boasted leading hospitality brands such as Burger King, Pizza Hut, Thistle Hotels, and Pręt a Manger among its clients.
